Laser point scan confocal with standard and high-speed resonance scanning. High resolution imaging at room temperature. Overview The Leica SP5 is a point-scan confocal microscope with laser lines at 405, 458, 476, 488, 496, 514, 543, 594, and 633nm. Emission collection is customizable to 4 channels. Regular and high-speed resonance scanning modes are available. Training involves proper turn on and turn off sequences and learning the operation of the instrument. Training also involves the proper cleaning so as not to damage the optics or other parts of the instrument. Generally, the instructor is operating the instrument for the first session and explaining as the experiment progresses and is present for following sessions as needed. New users should schedule at least 2 training sessions of 1 hour. Please book your training 2 weeks in advance. Bring your sample to training and we will acquire images with you.
