The Quanta 600F is the most versatile medium-to-high resolution scanning electron microscope (SEM) in the lab, using a high resolution field-emission (FEG) electron source and offering ESEM – environmental SEM - in up to 1 Torr of water vapor to prevent sample dehydration. This instrument was purchased through the generous support from the Office of the Vice-President for Research in conjunction with USTAR, with the EBSD and complementary EDS system provided through the generous donation of George and Linda Caine.
